Build A Bear and Stampin' Up!

What a great combination. I just love the Build A Bear products that Stampin' Up! has in it's new Holiday Mini Catalog. I didn't think that I would buy these stamps and Big Shot Dies as I don't have any children at home anymore but the more I have thought about it......I just have to have them. Order is on the way. I will post my fabulous Build A Bear/Stampin' Up! creations as soon as I can. Yippee!

WOW! New My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up

Click on Photo for a full size view.....
I received the new My Digital Studio software(lovingly known as MDS) yesterday from Stampin' Up and have been playing a little bit with it today. It is AWESOME "totally"!
Above is a scrapbook page I made with the software. It actually was pretty easy of course it is not too complicated of a page. I have never used digital software before so for me it is a major feat.

I told my husband that I am going to have to start scanning all my thousands of photographs (stored in shoeboxes no less) onto the computer. I can hardly wait to get started.

SOOOOOO........If you want this software for yourself it will be available from Stampin' Up Oct 1. You can order it directly from me or my stampin' up website. Yea!!!

Great use for paper scraps

I found these little notebooks at Michael's dollar spot. They had a great variety of colors. So I decided to Alter them a bit with Stampin Up Designer Series Paper and some punches. All I did was cut a square to cover the front and back. I adhered it with SU stick strip. Then made a belly band and added a scalloped punch with a monogram. Great way to make it personalized.

If you would rather make the booklet yourself you can. Dawn Griffith has a great tutorial on her website. www.dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com
Love thise site.

Chloe gets a haircut

Chloe, my 13 year old border collie, has come to southern utah to live with rick and I. She has been living with my daughter for the past few years. She has sooooooo much hair and it sheds like crazy. So I took her to get a haircut. I had the groomer take her hair down to the skin because it gets so STINKIN hot here. She does seem a little happier without all of the hair and even looks 10 years younger. Amazing!

I am having so much fun making these Chic Rub on Gift Sets. This set was made using retired Good Morning Sunshine Paper and retired Love and Happiness Rub ons. I have made some sets using retired christmas paper. I will try to post some pics later on.

I am working on my Class Kits in the Mail program and this will be one of the tutorials that will be available soon.

Using up retired SU DSP

I am trying to get ready for a craft fair the end of August and am using up all the beautiful designer series paper that I have accumulated. Also, it is now retired by Stampin' Up and gotta use it up so I can order the new stuff :). The container is created by using an origami folding technique (1 sheet 12x12 DSP). The outside is covered cardboard that is 5 1/2 x 12" wrapped to become a solid supporting piece. A 18" length of 1/2 in. ribbon is used to tie it all together.
This is a great way to package a little something special for a quick gift.

SU DSP is Sweet Slumber (retired), Stamp sets used are both retired, Bloomin' with Love, and the 2009 SAB Yummy! I used a tutorial by Dianne Shiozaki www.stmprdee.com.

Have a good day and watch for more tomorrow
